A mother has shared her 'secret' formula for her homemade glass cleaner that is leaving windows and shower screens sparkling.

The Australian woman, who goes by Mama Mila online, said that her recipe keeps glass on shower screens, pool fences and windows 'sparkling for months', and all you need are a few household ingredients.

Posting on TikTok, Mila said you will need to mix one cup of white vinegar, half a cup of dishwashing liquid and one cup of water into a plastic container.

The final step to Mila's trick is to spread a water repellent over the glass once you have finished - which helps to keep off scum (pictured)

She then recommends you use a $2 window squeegee to spread the liquid over your glass surfaces:

'This solution is great at removing soap scum, water marks and residue,' Mila wrote alongside her video.

'Our shower screens are new and clean so we're doing it on our windows!'

'Bonus tip - apply a water repellent,' she wrote.

Mila's water repellent is from Bunnings Warehouse.

'Glass is cleaned and the water repellent keeps away soap scum, water stains and grime for months,' she explained.

This isn't the first time one of her cleaning tricks has gone viral, either.

Previously, Mila shared her trick for cleaning a microwave from dirt and grime in just minutes.

For this, all you need is one cup of water and one teaspoon of washing detergent.

Then mix them together inside a jug and put it inside the microwave for four minutes.

Once you take the jug out of your microwave, you should simply wipe down the inside and door with a clean cloth.

No more scrubbing,' Mila captioned her video.

'Gently wipe the microwave and watch the grime slide off. The steam environment softens all the stubborn, baked-on food and makes it very easy to clean.'
