5 cool things from Apidura, Brooks, Specialized, Deity and Exogard | off-road.cc

The flow of cool things coming into the office is showing no signs of stopping as this week we see fresh kit in from Brooks England, ExoGard, Specialized, Deity, and Apidura. There's a pretty respectable heap of stuff in for testing so let's get on with it.

Ideal for smaller feet, Deity's Vault Midi pedal is 10% smaller than its bigger sibling and comes built with an extruded and CNC machined aluminium body that rotates around a titanium axle. As a smaller pedal, it offers a 95 x 104mm platform, which gets a 17mm concave and 22 replaceable pins.

Apidura's Hydration Vest has been designed for those who prefer mixed-terrain riding where extra water capacity is essential.  It's constructed from a 3D mesh with an ergonomic fit for comfort during those extended rides. There are two mesh pockets on the straps of the bag for quick access to trail snacks as well as a zipped pocket for a phone or other valuables. Then, there's another pair of pockets on the back of the pack itself and of course, there's space for the included 2 litre fast flow bladder.

The new pack comes in two sizes, an S/M and L/XL to suit different body shapes.

We reckon that protecting your frame with a protective film or wrap is one of the first things you should do when you wrangle a brand new bike. Exogard has sent in a frame wrap kit that comes with a pretty neat trick, and that's that it can self-heal. The brand says that it's easy to install, invisible and that it comes with a five-year manufacturer's guarantee.

In the pack, you get almost everything you need to get the job done, including a microfibre-wrapped squeegee, a small spray bottle for the baby soap/water solution, and the film itself. There are three packs on offer, one for road bikes, one for urban bikes, and the one we've got here the mountain bike pack.

The 11 gravel-specific products you never knew you needed

The C17 Cambium saddle is said to be as comfortable for road and touring as it is for gravel riding. That's because it uses a vulcanized rubber top that offers up some flexibility as well as durability in all weathers.

The saddle is then joined by the Cambium Rubber bar tape that's claimed to offer some shock absorption and durability with its naturally flexibly rubber.

The 2FO ClipLite is Specialized's newest clipless shoe that uses the brand's famed body geometry. You'll see that they're sorted with a pair of BOA Li2 dials for easy, on the fly micro-adjustment, along with a welded upper and EVA midsole.
