A group of cleaning experts have listed the top products they swear by to leave the bathroom shower sparkling clean.

Australian cleaning enthusiast Kat Springer, who runs the business 'The Organised Housewife', posted a question on social media asking 'what are your favourite cleaning products for the shower?.'

Hundreds flooded the comments with their expert recommendations and the top products mentioned were Aldi's popular Di-San pre-wash stain remover spray, Gumption paste, Bar Keepers Friend powder and Magic Erasers.

While cleaning the bathroom is often a tedious chore, it shouldn't be left for too long as over time the build-up of soap scum and water marks can become difficult to remove.

Of the products mentioned online, Aldi's $1.25 Di-San pre-wash stain remover spray seemed to be the most popular among the experts for leaving a streak-free shine on glass.

On social media the 'amazing' budget product has gained a cult following as it can be used to clean a wide variety of items and surfaces, such as sneakers, rugs and ovens.

For tough soap scum stains, others highly recommended either Bar Keepers Friend or Gumption multi-purpose paste - which can both be purchased from Woolworths and Coles.

Other cleaning experts swear by using dishwashing liquid, water and squeegee on shower screen to leave a sparkling shine.

'I'm a cleaner and have learnt to only use dishwashing liquid and a squeegee to get [the shower screen] spotless plus a $5.99 blade scraper from Bunnings if it has build-up,' one woman wrote.

Another recommended combining water and vinegar in a spray bottle as a 'cheap and effective' alternative.

For spot cleaning small areas of the shower, it's best to use Magic Erasers and microfibre cloths.
